The world of Fa’Diel exists because we believe it is here. The smells, sights, and sounds are all products of what we create ourselves, even our bodies are products of the power of imagination! In a world so wonderful, why then is there so much strife? Why do we fight over the power of Mana when it is in such abundance around us? Mana exists in the air, it exists in plants, it can be found in stones, and some mages have even managed to summon it from instruments and manifest it into their spells.
But Fa’Diel isn’t perfect, even though our imaginations we create the terrors that grip this amazing, magical world. We are human – though our bodies might speak otherwise – and we all have human minds. Humans are not perfect beings, they dream up murder, they invent greed, and they long for power, power over others.
To the Jumi, who have hearts of precious gemstones and are hunted for those treasures, the world is a dangerous place. To the Penguins, who roam the sea as pirates, the land is but a anchor keeping their souls from being free. To the Dudbears, who live in the mines and are for naught but digging, the surface is a terrifying and new concept. To the Faeries, who have their own world separate from our own, the humans ruin Fa’Diel and curse it. And to the humans, of which we all are and who have invented Fa’Diel by believing it exists, the world is a place that is shaped to their wills.
This is a world that was imagined to be perfect and yet it is filled with such discord, could you imagine it to be better?
DROWNED DREAMS
The world is full of the sparkle of life.
It's just like the stars that fill up the night sky.
